This summer
sees Hermes adding another orange to its vast colour collection. But what interested me the most
with this particular new Hermes Birkin 25CM Orange, was it name – Capucine. My poor French skills, meant my first
instincts led me to believe that this had to be an addition to the Hermes taupe
colour chart. How wrong was I? In researching the meaning of
Capucine, the reason for the name of this new hue became crystal clear. A
gorgeous, vibrant peppery, tangy orange colour. Capucine, is the french
for the flower Nasturtium.
